They even share the same school uniform! (Give or take a badge and a jacket.)
But the schoolboy brandishing a deadly pen here isn't Light Yagami. It's Bobby Busecki, as played by Alec Medlock, in an episode of Warehouse 13.
The US drama is about a team charged with locating and safeguarding dangerous artefacts at large in the world. No doubt if the universes ever crossed for real, their warehouse shelves would be the obvious repository for any recovered Death Notes.
Nevermore is the Warehouse 13, season one episode featuring Bobby Busecki. His story isn't lifted directly from the pages of the Death Note manga, but the correlation is clear to fans.
He wields a pen, linked to a notebook, which causes death and destruction via supernatural means out in the world. He's a schoolboy, wearing a white shirt and red tie. The power plays havoc with his mind, resulting in megalomania revealed in grand speeches.
Kira or Bobby? That description fits both. In each case too, the schoolboy may only be stopped by a genius mind guiding US Secret Service agents to the source. But there, to my mind, is where the links end.
Anyone else seen this? Or any other shades of Kira in totally separate stories?
