Goddess of This New Website: Author Matti
The erstwhile fan-fiction writer turned Death Note News chronicler is Matti - known in some Mello/Matt forums as MRSJeevas, MRSJ or simply Matilda.
And no, she didn't name herself after Death Note's Matt. At least insofar as the Matti/Matilda part is concerned. It's been her moniker for a very long time - twenty odd years to be precise - from the formless dark epoch before Death Note was even conceived. Her logos is really Matilda Mother, a story-teller enchanted into being by a much older deity named Syd Barrett.
It's just quite fortuitous that it equally matches Matt from Death Note, befitting beautifully his fan-fiction writer. And the Word was good.

Why Do I Know That Name?
I'm innocent. I wasn't even there. No pic, no proof. Unless it's something to do with the It Matters Death Note fan-fiction novels. Then I might be slightly implicated. But only in a secretarial/note-taking capacity.
Nobody writes Mello in any story, let alone amateur fan-fiction. He writes his damn self and, if you're lucky, does it while you're looking in his direction with fingers poised upon a keyboard ready to type. And Matt just smirks, like he knows the secret that nobody's telling.
We're ALL innocent, but especially me. You only have to read the lines, they're scribbly black and everything shines. True story.

And Why Are You Writing Death Note News Now?
It's quicker than keep answering emails.
One blog to take the place of individual replies to readers asking where they might find my novels, or when the next one is coming out. Or if I know where such-and-such is since MangaBullet crashed and took my journal with it, as well as my whole gallery of stories.
Plus it's fun. You'll know when it's not. I'll stop writing news reports for the Death Note world.
