Brad Swaile: Light Yagami's English Dub Actor to Appear at Matsuricon 2014

Brad Swaile - the actor immortalized in the English Death Note world as the voice behind Light Yagami - will be in Ohio meeting fans this August.

Yagami's voice actor has been booked to appear at Matsuricon 2014, which will be held on August 22nd-24th, at the Hyatt Regency Columbus. As the name of the hotel/conference center suggests, this will be in Columbus, Ohio, USA.

Brad Swaile hails from Vancouver, Canada. He was 31 years old when he took the lead role in the English dub Death Note anime. It's his voice that launched a thousand parodies on a theme of, 'I take this potato chip and EAT IT!'

A little known fact is that he reprised the role of Light Yagami for the English dubs of the Death Note Live Action movies.

In addition to Death Note, Brad Swaile has provided the voices for:

• Kimba in The New Adventures of Kimba The White Lion;
• Chad (Kicker) Jones in Transformers: Energon;
• Nightcrawler in X-Men Evolution;

He's also provided the voices for video games characters, notably Amuro Ray in all of the Dynasty Warriors and Mobile Suit Gundam games, plus Brent Ernst (Slappy) in Dead Rising 2 and Jin Kazama in Street Fighter X Tekken.

When he's not acting, Brad Swaile utilizes his degree in Graphic and Visual Design by working as an illustrator.
